About this Centre
Houghton Sports Centre and Wellness Centre is right in the centre of Houghton Le Spring in Sunderland. It’s is perfect place to visit to reach your health and fitness goals. The sports hall provides a great range of indoor and outdoor activities including first-class gymnastics, basketball, badminton and martial arts facilities. There’s also a dance studio where we host a range of group fitness classes, meeting rooms, indoor bowls and a skate park. There’s also an ultra-modern gym that features all the latest equipment. Furthermore, the outdoor 3G pitch can be used for rugby, football and athletics too.

Group Fitness Studio
Enjoy a diverse range of group fitness classes in our studio, including Zumba, Group Cycling, Pilates and many more.
Artificial Football Pitch
This 3G outdoor pitch can be used for either five- or seven-a-side matches and can be used all year round, whatever the weather. This fully-enclosed surface is ideal for competitions, practice sessions, or even just having a friendly kick about.
