Sunbury Leisure Centre offers a wide range of accessible facilities to accommodate all needs. Everyone Active’s goal is to encourage everyone to participate in 30 minutes of activity 5 days a week, and our facilities allow this goal to be achieved. Please see our accessibility information below:

Parking

We have seven disabled parking bays.

We have now installed a new ANPR system in our carpark. This will allow for 3 hours free parking however you must enter your vehicle registration in to the pods we have on site on each visit to avoid a penalty fine.

Reception

The reception desk has a low section which is accessible to wheelchair users. There are turnstiles leading from reception into the facility with a separate gate for wheelchair and push chair access.

Toilets and Changing

There is a unisex accessible toilet situated in the reception area and unisex accessible toilets for wet change on the ground floor. There are unisex accessible changing facilities for the fitness suite in between the male and female changing. There is a shower seat, adjustable shower head, grab rails and the shower controls at an accessible height. The changing areas for the fitness suite are located on the ground floor within the fitness suite area and are accessible to wheelchair users. There is a larger shower cubicle within the main changing area which is private.

Poolside Facilities

There are cubicles in the main swimming pool changing room which are accessible. They have a shower with seat, toilet and changing bench. In addition, there is a sloping set of steps with adjacent hand rails to assist customers with mobility difficulties to get in and out of the water.

Gym Facilities

The fitness suite has Inclusive Fitness Initiative accredited equipment.

Catering and Vending

Vending machines are available.

Activity Provision

The facility provides a wide range of additional activities, opportunities and events which are accessible and inclusive.
